Looking for a Place Near the Campus

I am not a freshman any longer and that means that they are going to let me move out of the dorms this semester. That is fine with me, since I never really liked sharing a room with a virtual stranger. He and I got along okay, but I was never comfortable around him because he was a bit strange or so I thought. So I have started hunting for apartments that I can afford. I am using the internet to do it and obviously I am looking for a place near the campus or at least on the campus’ bus lines. I have an old car, but from what it seems to me the thing is not going to be any use to me while I am here. Every time that I move the thing it is virtually impossible to find a place to park it when I get back here, or at least you never find a parking space in a reasonable amount of time. It does not make any sense to spend something like 20 minutes looking for a parking space every morning. I want to get up, get ready and then go to class in as short of a time as is possible. Of course the bus is going to drop you off pretty much where you want to be, while if you find a parking place it is very likely to be a ten minute walk from the same place that the bus is going to let you off. So in reality driving a car to campus could cost you something like half an hour if things went poorly for you. My car is not going to last forever either, it only has so many miles left on it and I can not really afford to get another.
