My Boys Needed Physics Tutoring
I did some research on physics tuition because I knew that my twin sons needed a boost in that area to make it more interesting for them. They were doing okay in their physics class in high school, but we are not a family that maintains mediocrity. Rather, we excel at anything and everything we do, because none of us really see the point of putting in only partial effort. The boys told me that they would not even have taken that class if they had known how boring it would have been for them.
That about floored me, because physics has always fascinated me. I could not believe that my offspring did not feel the same way. When I asked them what physics means to them, all they could really tell me was it is boring learning about string theory. I asked them what else physics means to them, and they really could not tell me much more. I asked them if they knew that physicists were curing cancer, that physics was the foundation for computers, and that physics is the future for sustainable energy. They admitted that they had not gotten that far in their studies, and I knew that they needed to learn more than what they were in school.
I looked at quite a few different tutors in our area, but I liked this one the best because he is so accomplished in his field. I liked that he wanted to share his passion with the youth. He does not just want to teach them physics. He wants to make them crave to learn more, to make it a part of their future to make the world a better place. With an inspiring teacher like that, it is no wonder that both of my boys have a renewed interest in physics after just a few lessons.
